NODA Awards

NODA Best Music Director - Isobel

NODA AWARDS 2015

Congratulations to Isobel Jenkins who has received the 2015 award for Best Musical director for her work on our prodution of Lehar's "The Merry Widow".

Although Isobel is a very experienced singer who has been acclaimed several times for her performances, this is the first time she has taken on the role of Musical Director.

Members were delighted that Isobel's confident and supportive style , which makes reeharsals so enjoyable should be acknowledged.

Opera Viva also received 4 other Nominations in this year's Ceremony:

David Palmer was nominated for his  performance as Count Danilo (Best Male Lead in a Musical), and Heather Heighway (Best Female Lead in a Musical) as Valencienne in Lehar's "The Merry Widow".

In addition, the whole company received a nomination  for Best Concert for October's "Viva Bel Canto!", a showcase of the art of fine singing with an authentic Italian supper, and a Special Nomination was made to Pamela Armstrong, a well-loved member who has performed with many societies, as a soloist and as a generous and supportive colleague.
